CUPSLOCKER

The project includes the design of a unique coffee station for the CUPSLOCKER franchise, as well as cups of different volumes for coffee. The project was realised in 2023 and the sales of this coffee station started in 2024.

WE WORK WITH

Our team loves working with businesses that are just gaining momentum and helping entrepreneurs make their product recognisable in the market.
This franchise approached us with a request to create a new form of coffee station, which will be different from all existing ones on the market and will increase sales.

Address: Russia
Date of project implementation: 2023
Project Area: 100 sq. m
Our mission: Designing a unique form for a franchise of self-service coffee stations, communicating with the manufacturing company, creating the graphic part of the project.

1

RESEARCH OF INDUSTRY AND COMPETITION

Before starting to develop the design solution, the team studied the market of coffee stations in Russia to identify all the pluses and minuses.

2

ANALYSIS OF THE EXISTING COFFEE STATION

The overall integrity of the coffee station is lacking due to the fragmentation into separate, not compositionally related modules. There are associations with kitchen modules due to the doors of the lower module. There is no compositional centre, the accent colour is distributed unevenly. The integrity of the form of the lower module is broken by a contrasting spot of a complex shape. The illumination of the lower modules creates excessive contrast.

PROBLEM DEFINITION

1. Recognise the nuances of the existing design solution 2. Add integrity to the design. (Coffee counter looks fragmented, lack of generalisation and unity of elements). 3.Change the design of the lower part of the coffee counter (door) - it is not finalised visually. 4.Create a colour accent, work on the colour scheme. (At the moment there is visual fragmentation) 5.Simplify the text part. (Visually hard to read, too much text) 6.Develop a design for the syrup dispenser. (The dispenser drips from the dispenser, hard to clean) 7.Find space for a second dispenser. (More glasses should fit in the machine - customer request) 8.Find a place for a free-standing sign - a signpost. (Nowhere to put it) 9.To make the inscription "Free of charge" visible. (At the moment it is hidden)

FIRST PROPOSALS

After identifying all the shortcomings and analyzing competitors, the NOUVOIR team started working on initial design proposals, creating several sketches. Throughout the development process, we remained in constant communication with our client for discussions.

5

FINAL DESIGN

After selecting the chosen form for the future coffee station, we began detailed project refinement, creating all technical drawings to hand them over for production.

6

WORK WITH MANUFACTURING

The final stage in developing the new coffee station involved communication and numerous tests in production. After several attempts, we found the most successful design.

7

CUP DESIGN

In addition to the coffee station's design itself, our team also developed paper cups that continue the design of the coffee station and provide additional advertising for our franchise.

RESULT

The presentation of the new coffee station took place in November 2023. We announced three types of coffee stations: budget, mid-range, and premium.
